SOLAR-IT, an AS/400 consultancy and services company, has partnered with LANSA ltd., a premier AS/400 and e-business application development tool vendor.
SOLAR-IT wants to grow its development and product center. “LANSA is a fantastic opportunity for us to be able to extend our services portfolio”, says Piet van Hemert, General manager at SOLAR-IT. “Our intention is to train our people in LANSA and offer LANSA services and support. LANSA is very well positioned to extend existing application to new interfaces like Web, Windows and even wireless devices. With LANSA we will be able to add new functionalities to our EZ-banking module. EZ-banking is an extension to BPCS allowing easy bank transactions from within the BPCS environment. LANSA fits perfectly within the goals we want to achieve for the future,” Piet continues.
According to Jan De Putter, Sales Manager for the Benelux region at LANSA, this is an important development in Belgium. “Through the partnership with SOLAR-IT our position on the Belgian market is getting stronger. More and more IT professionals will be available for LANSA projects and SOLAR-IT will play an important role in the training and follow up of LANSA projects in Belgium,” says Jan De Putter.
Also Patrick Cluyts, Business Development Manager EMEA at LANSA, emphasizes the importance of partnering with companies like SOLAR-IT. “ Given the current shortage of IT professionals in Europe it’s not easy for our customers to find the right resources for their upcoming projects,” says Patrick Cluyts, “Companies like SOLAR-IT are making it easier for companies to find the right people with the right skills.”
